Note 1Grand Drogoman of The Fleet (1727-41). Honorary Prince of Muntenia and Moldavia. Negotiated the Treaty of Belgrade in 1739 for the Ottoman empire but was beheaded on the orders of the Sultan.
Note 2He appears (as Grand Drogoman of the Sublime Porte) in a 1739 painting depicting a dinner given for the Dutch ambassador by Grand Vizir Ibrahim Damad in which the Drogoman for Holland, Costakis Caradja, also appears (Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam).
