Note 2Sally Adams wrote to CAL in 2012 to say her grandmother was the cook/housekeeper at Binfield from before 1900 until after 1917 (not sure when she left) and met her husband there, who was footman/driver and came from Crawley Down...
Note 3... Sally Adams’ mother was the first-born and looked after in the nursery with the children of the family while her mother was working: she often spoke about it.
