Note 2Strangely, there is no evidence that this branch of the Vlasto/Zarifi family ever kept in touch with their close Vlasto/Zarifi cousins in England or France.
Note 3She died three days after her car (travelling from Mayence to Wiesbaden) was in collision with a tram. The Comtesse Jacques d’Aramon who was travelling with her was unhurt.
Note 4She maintained an important literary and artistic salon in Paris.
Note 5She is buried in one of three adjoining plots at Boulogne-Billancourt: one bought for Ernest Michel Vlasto, a second probably bought by or for his brother Antoine and a third (between them and also registered to the Vlasto family) still unused in 2013.
