Note 1Appears to have been known as ‘Stephanovich-Schilizzi’. His father notes that his son Stephen left Constantinople on 5 Jun 1854 to arrive in London on 8 Jul 1854 and that the journey, via Livorno, Marseilles and Paris, took 33 days.
Note 2His mother was with him when he died at the home of his uncle Ioannis ‘John’ Schillizi after four months’ illness with rheumatic fever.
