Note 1Known by his priest’s name, Cyrille. Ordained a priest in 1950 and appointed Archimandrite of Marseilles. Cyrille gave Christopher Long (aged about five) a baptismal blessing into the Greek Orthodox church in the gardens of 441 Avenue du Prado in ca. 1954.
Note 2A member of the French ‘Résistance’ in WWll and imprisoned in France. His uncle Pandely Leonidas Argenti had a medallion struck to acknowledge ‘Cyrille’s’ wartime conduct in the French ‘Résistance’ and his refusal to talk despite torture by the Germans.
Note 3Constantinos Kavadas says that Cyrille was the true owner of the Agentikon villa in the Kampos in Chios which his 1st cousin Philip Agenti lavishly ‘restored’ (i.e. the pastiche he created of an original Kampos house).
