Note 1Or Mavrojani. Capt. 5th Battalion Royal Fuseliers. He owned a pre-WWl Rolls-Royce no. 1354 (though the name of the owner is spelled Mavroyeni). His chauffeur was Thomas Warner who was sent to Derby to learn how the car worked.

Note 2His London probate record (28 March) names his as ‘Mavrojani’ and he left estate of £110,330 2s 3d to George Michel Mavrogordato Esq., and to his widow Dorothy.
