Note 1Died of typhoid fever at 6.00 pm. His uncle Zannis Schilizzi gave 5,000 grosia to St John, Galata, for masses to be said every year on the anniversary of his birth and death. 1,000 grosia were given to St Victor’s cathedral, Chios for an annual mass.
Note 2A marginal note in the diary of Zannis Schilizzi says that the family decided that the financial difficulties of St John’s church in 1870 made it impossible for a bishop to celebrate the requiem mass.
