Note 1According to Adem Yavuz Dede, writing in 09-2026, a Sophia Ralli apparently became the wife of a Turkish castle governor Dizdarzade Mustafa. (See correspondence)
Note 2Adem Yavuz Dede proposes one of the five Ralli brothers (sons of Stephanos Ralli (1755-1827) as Sophia’s father. We believe this is unlikely since the family would have have gone to any lengths to recover her from Turkish hands.
Note 3We suggest, without any other evidence that she might be the daughter of Stephanos Ralli (1769-1822) who may or may not have married and had children but could not have helped anyone after the 1822 massacre
Note 4Could she have been one of the victims described in the 1822 correspondence pulished at the time of the massacres and pleading for help? (See: <christopherlong.co.uk/per/1822ChiosLettersTranscribed.pdf>;)
