Note 1Post WWll, he changed his name to Allison at the request of superior officers. The name Allison came from a local hairdresser in Surrey.
Note 2Moved to England in 1929. His grandson, Jamin Galatti Jamieson, says Donald came to England in 1929 and may not have seen his father after 1924. As Donald Allison he had four children including Jamin’s mother.
Note 3Jamin is the only member of the large UK / New Zealand family to use the ancestral Galatti name.
