Note 1She wrote to CAL in 2005. She, her husband and their first seven children settled in Canada in 1957 where two more children were born. She has a number of family portraits.

Note 2For a while she was brought up in the Pembridge Square, London, house of her great-great-grandfather Ambrose Argenti before moving to a nearby flat. She has strong childhood memories of the London Greek community.
