Note 2Sturdza calls the Basili ‘Vassiliou’. Established in Odessa 1860. Director of the Banque Agricole de Kherson. Author of several works on the ‘Oriental Question’. Recorded 1871 in the list of the Odessa and Kishinev nobility.
