Note 1Great Logothete of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. Governor of Wallachia Nov (1716 - Feb 1719). Briefly Hospodar of Moldavia. He negotiated the Treaty of Passarovitz (1711) on behelf of the Ottoman empire.
Note 2According to Encyclopaedia Britannica (1911) he seems to have succeeded his brother Nicolas as Grand Drogoman. Was for a short while Hospidar of Moldavia.
Note 3Presumably he is the Ioan Mavrocordato who was Prince of Moldavia in 1711 and presumably he is the Ioan Mavrocordato who appears as such in a b/w image.
