Note 1(Merele) He was the first Rodocanachi to establish a business in London, before 1839, called Rodocanachi & Sons Co. Catsiyannis says he was in Trieste at the time of the Chios Massacres with his brother Antonio.
Note 2His wife and children appear to have lived in Trieste while he was in London and travelling elswhere. A Giovanni M. Rodocanachi of Franghiadi & Rodocanachi had business premises at 9 Finsbury Circus 1846-49 and 60 Moorgate 1850-53.
Note 3Was he connected with the firm of G. M. Rodocanachi at 28 Deansgate, Manchester in 1845?
Note 4He appears to have been an active and frequently mentioned member of the London Greek community from 1839-48 (though often absent from meetings). He left his business to his nephews Leoni (Zannis) and Paul (Zannis) Rodocanachi, brothers.
