Note 1Tomb at Lvov, Ukraine. During the 1831 Polish-Russian war he commanded the Polish troops in battles to defend Warsaw.
Note 2Also recorded as Jozef. He married his second wife in 1834 during his exile in Paris and they moved to London soon after.
Note 3He died while visiting Count Adam Zamoyski at his estate in Lopatyn, near Brody and was buried there.
Note 4Wikipedia says: ‘En 1834, il épouse Marie-Louise de Broc, sa seconde épouse, la première, Julianna, étant décédée en janvier 1831.’
Note 5He “Josef Nobilis de Dwerniki” is recorded as godfather/witness to his grand-daughter Hermina’s birth certificate 23 April 1836.
