Note 1She was apparently taken as a slave (ca 1822-1827) during the Massacres of Chios and redeemed later... see account in Greek. Similar treatment was suffered by other Chios families (e.g. Calvocoressi).
Note 2She was bought by a rich Turk from Smyrna and was found and bought back by a family acquaintance and taken, aged 12, the Rodoacanachi family in Livorno.
Note 3After her husband’s death she lived in Athens with her son Emmanuel.
