Note 1His Will, dated 28-10-1814 was proved 13 Aug 1818, is held at the National Archives, Kew. He was a churchwarden at St Mary The Virgin Church, Cranworth, Norfolk.
Note 2He had a grandson William mentioned in his Will. In 1784 the parishes of Cranworth and Letton existed as fused and their records kept in one register. Letton church was pulled down later.
Note 3The land at Letton that was farmed by the Filbys (and perhaps that of the Longs?) appears to have been acquired in order to create the park of Letton Hall, a large estate that swallowed most of the parish of Letton.
