Note 2A Nicolas Frangopoulos (no proof that this is he) was appointed as a member of the Chios 'ephory' during the Samian invasion and occupation of the island by Logothetis during the Massacres of Chios.

Note 3His daughter’s marriage record shows him as ‘of Syros’ which is logical.
