Note 1Argenti calls him Constantin de Sgardelli, son of Antoine. Ioana Nicolau’s Paspati family tree calls him Nicolas de Sgardelli without recording his father.
Note 2In a photograph taken in Braila in 1913, an elderly gentleman captioned “‘Papa’ Turck” appears, according to a caption, to be the brother of Nicholas Antoine de Sgardelli and perhaps father of Yvonne Halli and of Robert and Rena? Turk.
Note 3In the same photograph is an unidentified woman (Marita Juica? But writing unclear) holding a young Olga Costa-Foru.
