Note 1London Greek church records show that a Philip Paspati, merchant of Chios, (partner unknown) had a daughter Winnie in 1891 (unknown to Argenti)! He appears in the bankruptcy records for 1894 trading as M. F. Paspati & Co of Fenchurch Street, London.

Note 2In 1885, previously not in business, he was taken into partnership by his uncle, who traded as "M. F. Paspatti and Company." His father's will had left him half of his estate, about £10,000, which he paid into the partnership as his capital. ...
