Note 1A Nicolas Frangopoulos, married to an Angeliki, is recorded on a monument at the Petrocochino church Aghios GIoannis in the Kampos, Chios, and is said to have been a ‘magistrate’ or judge in England.
Note 2A Nicolas Frangopoulos (no proof that this is he) was appointed as a member of the Chios 'ephory' during the Samian invasion and occupation of the island by Logothetis during the Massacres of Chios.
Note 3His daughter’s marriage record shows him as ‘of Syros’ which is logical.
